Privacy Policy

Effective September 7, 2026 · Last updated September 15, 2026

This policy explains how A Funeral Star (AFS) handles information through afuneralstar.com and our internal marketing tools, including our Meta developer app. These tools are used by authorized AFS operators to manage and analyze our own music and merchandise marketing. They are not a public service for accessing fans’ social media accounts.

Information we handle

How we use information

We use this information to operate the website, send requested newsletters, respond to messages, administer authorized marketing accounts, create and manage AFS advertisements, measure performance and improve our music and merchandise promotion. We also use information to troubleshoot access and reporting issues and protect our accounts. Internal analysis may involve AI-assisted tools used by our authorized operators.

Service providers and sharing

Information is processed by the services needed for these activities, including our hosting, email, analytics, advertising and internal analysis providers, and by authorized people working on AFS marketing. We do not sell personal information or Meta Platform Data. We do not use Meta Platform Data to market unrelated services. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect account security and legal rights.

Our website links to or embeds services such as YouTube and links to social platforms, music services and our Fourthwall merchandise store. Those services process information under their own policies. Purchases and payments are handled by the store and its payment providers; our marketing app does not collect your payment-card details.

Cookies, analytics and your choices

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit measurement or affect features provided by other services. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and X’s privacy policy, and Google’s Analytics opt-out tool. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in an email.

For more information about providers, see the privacy policies of GitHub, Buttondown, Meta and Fourthwall.

Retention and security

Our working records include internal reports and account configuration data. We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, subject to deletion requests and any legal, accounting or security needs. Access to credentials and account records is restricted to authorized operators and tools. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Access and deletion requests

To request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold, email contact@afuneralstar.com. For deletion, use the subject “AFS data deletion request” and identify the email address or account involved. Do not send passwords, access tokens or payment information. We may request limited information to verify that the request relates to you.

We will review your request and delete information within our control that is no longer needed, except where retention is required for legal or security reasons. We will explain any relevant limitations. Reports that do not identify you may be retained. Removing information from our records does not delete original content or records held independently by Meta or another platform. Authorized operators can also revoke the app’s access through their Meta account’s app or business integration settings. See our data deletion instructions.

Children

Our internal marketing tools are intended for authorized adult operators. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as our website or tools change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For privacy questions, contact A Funeral Star at contact@afuneralstar.com.
